  • I am a business owner in Orlando, FL originally from the DC area. I enjoy traveling and learning new things. I had never considered scuba diving until 2012 when we went on a sailing trip of the British Virgin Islands with a group of friends. Now I love to dive and am always looking forward to the next adventure.

    Wrench Rock

Wrench Rock Dive #2 - The second dive was also at Wrench Rock. This time I started feeling chilly at 25 minutes and was happy that Mark decided to ascend after 30 minutes. I started at 3,100psi and finished at 1,200psi. Visibility was a bit more limited this time for some reason at 35 feet. There was a gentle current which wasn’t a problem until I got in the middle of two boulders when I was thrown around a bit. The gopro died while I was on this dive as the battery ran out. I was surprised that the battery life was only about 30 minutes as I’ve never had problems with the go pro in the past. I am guessing that the cold is inhibiting its effectiveness.

    Rms Rhone

Guided dive of the stern section of the wreck. Most visually dramatic dive. Lots of sealife. Saw octopus. Simone was hovering about 3ft over the octopus who was gliding over the bottom buts she didn't see it. I pointed it out to her which startled her for a moment."

There’s only stairs going in and there were a couple of snorkelers just in their swim trunks swimming around in the 65° water which I thought was odd. I was wearing my wetsuit hood as I definitely did not want to get cold and expected to be down a lot longer due today shallow depth. I could not get as much good GoPro film footage due to the lack of light and the fact that I was busy making my way through all the cracks and crevices that you can swim in forever. Matt and Ben stayed on the tops of the boulders and did not descend down to the cave floor as Ben was not feeling confident enough to make his way through the small openings required. It’s an amazing experience diving there and they’re all sorts of cave offshoots at 40 feet that are barricaded with pipe so you can’t go any further. It was fun shining your light into those areas though they did seem like they could handle a diver easily. We probably swim around the circumference of the circular pool probably about three times before Mark and Ben wanted to ascend. We were down there only about 40 minutes though I easily could’ve dove for well over that time and maybe even an hour. I tend to be a very shallow breather so I can make my oxygen last for quite a long time. I got some great shots looking up at the dive platform from below with the limited amount of light that was coming in. It made the atmosphere quite dark and forboding
